I didn't realize each night would include dinner and a show.
It seemed that half of the cruisers would attend the early show and the other half would eat early. Afterward, the early-show people would get dinner while early diners attended the nightly show. I was delighted that the cruise featured the artists and music most guests grew up with. We were surprised at how much we enjoyed staying on a lower deck and even secured the same stateroom for next year's Flower Power Cruise. Though we usually prefer to stay on higher decks, our room's location actually made getting to the nightly concerts easy.

Your cabin price includes more than 50 LIVE performances and 25 celebrity interactive events with your fellow cruisers on the Grooviest Trip at Sea. Sing, dance and dine for seven amazing days while reliving the '60s. Besides music, you'll find 60s and 70s-music themed activities, such as trivia, wine tastings, a vow renewal with musician/producer Peter Asher, panel discussions and game shows.
I wasn't 100% sure what to expect but I found the Flower Power Cruise experience delightful. Though, I was exhausted after multiple 16-hour days of non-stop activity. Musical performances, game shows, and educational presentations were available non-stop through the 5 p.m. Day and night, I also saw a lot of tie-dye, a pattern I've discovered is not a fad or a costume — it's a standard part of the hippie wardrobe on or off the cruise.
The Flower Power Cruise is a phenomenal opportunity to relive the era of the Love Generation. The Flower Power Cruise is a full ship charter filled with like-minded people who want to go back and celebrate this very special and unique time period. It’s like a music festival at sea with some of the greatest artists of the ‘60s. Our programming team carefully chooses costume parties and theme nights considering the cruise’s schedule, artists, and customer surveys from previous years. In total, we spent $4,648 for seven nights in an interior cabin booked directly with StarVista. At first, the amount we paid for this charter cruise seemed like way too much. But the price included our meals, assorted non-alcoholic beverages, port charges, taxes, gratuities, and all of the concerts and scheduled events. For those Guests staying the night before the cruise in our pre-cruise hotel, StarVista LIVE offers luggage service and motor coach transportation on the day of the cruise from the hotel to the seaport for a small fee. Simply bring your luggage down to the lobby and transportation helpers will assist you loading your luggage into our ground transportation and deliver it to the terminal. My partner and I were fortunate to get a spot on the Flower Power Cruise, a '60s-musical-themed experience, when cancellations gave those on the waitlist the opportunity to secure a cabin on the sold-out cruise.
Once you are issued your CEL Booking Number (approximately 45 days prior to sailing) and check-in online, there will be a button to print your boarding pass and luggage tags.
